Players should take off all of their armor so that they get knocked down by the dragon's initial attack. The best method for low-level players is very counterintuitive but undeniably effective. The dragon just above this spot will make collecting the Claymore tough, as the initial fire attack will deal a lot of damage, and the flames that linger afterward stagger those who try to walk through them, severely hindering progress. A flamberge can eat bosses alive in this game thanks to bleed and if it was easier to get one, it would be my go to twink weapon for beating Dancer, Oceiros, Champ Gundyr and Freide at low levels. The Claymore can be found on the High Wall of Lothric in the area that gets doused in flames by a nearby dragon if the player gets too close. It also infuses really well for whatever reason. If I'm not mistaken this is the highest AR of the great regular titanite infused greatswords. Again, you lose out on the claymore pokes, but it has the straight sword weapon arts (shield break and lunge). No one talks about the flamberge (probably because it's a pain in the dick to get one) but it has better damage than the claymore and has built in bleed. You do lose out on the r2 pokoes of the claymore which is a shame, but for me, worth it for the stomp as I like the huge increase to poise for tight situations. If you're like me and you like flinging things into the air, the bastard sword is a winner. Same base damage but instead of the straight sword weapon arts with the claymore, you get the stomp weapon art of ultra greatswords. Weighs just a smidge under the claymore, but is also slightly shorter. If you're going straight strength, stick with the heavy claymore. Black Knight Sword works best with a quality build where you level strength and dex together. Black Knight Sword's stamina consumption is probably on par with the Claymore. Hollowslayer can swing like a million times with low stamina.
